Engineering images of iPhone 5 leaked?

IdealsChina claims to have received production diagrams of the iPhone 5. On the picture you see a device that looks very similar to the current iPhone 4, the device looks to have a larger screen in a similar housing. These images correspond with a display panel that appeared a few days ago, but it is also possible that these served as inspiration for these new images. Rumors about a curved aluminum back do not reflect to these models.

IdealsChina has now got hold of engineering diagrams of the new iPhone 5 which shows that it has larger screen.

“We just got what appears to be mold engineering drawings for iPhone 5. These would be used by case designers to create plastic, TPU, aluminum, silicone and leather cases. A while back we hear rumors that iPhone 5 would have a curved back but these images show iPhone 5 with the same form factor as iPhone 4 but with an edge to edge screen.
Interestingly enough, these images depict an iPhone 4-like design – with the same wrap-around antenna – but with a larger display and a thinner bezel. This larger display and thinner bezel goes hand in hand with reports from Digitimes and the Wall Street Journal, respectively.”

It is possible that these drawings are made for accessory designers. Asian accessory creators are often involved in the early production process. Sometimes they are completely wrong, but they are regularly spot on. With the iPad 2 there also appeared several photographs and diagrams of covers, which were quite close to the original. So expect some more ‘leaked’ covers in the coming weeks.

3 ways to put music on the iPhone without using iTunes

One of the major functions of the iPhone is music playback. The iTunes app has been designed in such a way to take advantage of the iPhone’s touchscreen. But what if you want to listen to music that doesn’t reside in your iTunes library? Thanks to the incredible success of the App Store, there are plenty of ways now to access streaming music even when you don’t have the files. In this article, I will point out 3 other ways that you can transfer music to your iPhone without iTunes.

PwnPlayer
Pwnplayer is an iPhone music player app that acts as an alternative to the default ipod.app in your iPhone. Its user interface is almost similar to the iPod.app, allowing you to view your songs in Artists, Albums, Songs, Genre list etc. It also supports album art display.

Pandora
Pandora seems like the obvious choice, and it is. Pandora is a streaming music service based on the Music Genome Project that has become wildly popular on the Web and now has a pretty successful (free) iPhone app. Through the app, you can listen to specific stations that you have already created or even make new ones based on the patterns of music you already like. You can even vote up or down certain songs directly from within the app, and Pandora will figure out what about that song was different from others you voted on in order to tweak its offerings.

AOL Radio
But perhaps you don’t need something that will ferret out music that’s just like the music you already like. Perhaps you’re more the traditional radio type. That’s why we like AOL Radio’s free iPhone app—you can choose from any number of streaming stations, categorized into genres, to find one you like. Especially nice is the “Locals” feature, which allows you to search for streaming stations near your area.

These are just a handful of the options available to the music fan, if you want to rip your favorite music or audios from your own DVD or videos you can use iFunia DVD Ripper Pro to extract the music from the DVD.
